What is the Facelift?
The facelift is a facial plastic surgery procedure designed to turn back the clock by lifting and repositioning the underlying tissues of the face, as well as excising sagging skin. Two of the biggest culprits of signs of aging over time are a loss of collagen and gravity, resulting in wrinkles and folds. A facelift can effectively address these with subtle incisions and specialized sutures, helping you look as young as you feel.
Facelift Candidates
Men who can benefit most from a facelift are those who are hoping to look younger with surgical techniques. Although non-surgical options can help achieve your cosmetic goals, the facelift is one of the most transformative options available. As such, it’s important to be in good overall health and able to undergo surgery. A facelift can effectively rejuvenate areas like areas of the face like the cheeks and jowls, nasolabial folds, and the chin and neck. Dr. Diktaban can address these areas with natural techniques for masculine, contoured results.
What Happens During a Facelift?
Dr. Diktaban can perform your facelift at our state-of-the-art facility. A facelift begins with cocktail or general anesthesia, which is only administered once you’re comfortable. Then, Dr. Diktaban makes a predetermined incision in front of or behind the ear, extending into the hairline if needed. For a mini facelift, the incisions can be much smaller. Dr. Diktaban will use special techniques to reposition the underlying tissues and muscles of the face so that they’re more upright and create the ideal contours. Then, any excess skin is trimmed away, and the incisions are closed. Finally, you’ll be made ready for your recovery and can return home.

You can expect to take about one to two weeks of downtime after your procedure, which means staying home and resting. Dr. Diktaban will provide aftercare instructions to manage swelling and discomfort with prescribed medications, as well as steps like sleeping with your head elevated and avoiding strenuous activity for the first few weeks. Most men can return to work after a couple weeks, although this can depend on the physical nature of your job and how comfortable you feel returning to public. It can take a few months before your final results begin to emerge, but the result is a rejuvenated, natural look.
