What is Liquid Rhinoplasty?
Liquid rhinoplasty, also called non-surgical rhinoplasty, is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional rhinoplasty or nose surgery. Instead of repositioning the nasal bone and cartilage, dermal fillers and/or Botox are used to smooth the appearance of a dorsal hump or other deformities in the outer structure of the nose. Injectable fillers will plump up the surrounding skin to conceal nasal bumps and give you a nose that looks straight and smooth. Botox can also be used to relax the muscles and lift a downturned nasal tip.
Liquid Rhinoplasty Candidates
The best candidates for liquid rhinoplasty are men and women concerned with a dorsal hump or other small irregularities in the structure of their noses. A liquid rhinoplasty cannot correct a deviated septum or improve the look of a large nose. What to Expect from a Liquid Rhinoplasty Consultation in New York City
During your consultation with Dr. Diktaban, he will assess your nose and discuss your cosmetic goal with you to determine whether you are a candidate. He will also ask about your medical history to determine the best filler for your specific needs; some patients are allergic to botulinum toxin or fillers with lidocaine.

What Happens During Liquid Rhinoplasty?
A liquid rhinoplasty requires no anesthesia, although a topical numbing cream can be applied to help you feel more comfortable. A fine gauge needle will be used to administer the filler injections into various areas of the nose. This only takes a few minutes.
Liquid Rhinoplasty Recovery
There is virtually no downtime after a liquid rhinoplasty, and you can resume most of your daily activities immediately after the procedure. However, we do recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise for a few days since minor swelling and bruising around the injection site is common. You should also avoid rubbing the treatment area since the filler could shift. Swelling and bruising will reduce in about one week, revealing your new, straightened nose.

The results of your liquid rhinoplasty will last 6-12 months! You can expect a straighter nose, lifted tip, and smoother counter, depending on where the fillers were placed.
