Minimally Invasive Face Tightening

Whether the result of genetics, weight loss, or the process of aging, it can be difficult to be comfortable with yourself when it feels like sagging skin and fat is the first thing people see. Surgery isn’t for everyone, though, so mini-surgical facial rejuvenation is an excellent way to feel like your best self by tightening loose skin and reducing fat pockets. FaceTite™ is our best facelift alternative that can produce excellent, refined results with a single treatment session.

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite uses the same radiofrequency technology as BodyTite™ and AccuTite™. With a tiny micro-incision, a specialized handpiece can be inserted in the deep layers of the skin. An external monitor administers radiofrequency energy to generate gentle heat, liquefying fat and causing skin contraction. This process essentially “shrink wraps” the skin for a more youthful and contoured look to many areas of the face.

FaceTite Candidates

FaceTite is a great option if you have beginning signs of aging like sagging skin and fat in areas like the jowls, neck, or nasolabial folds. It’s important to be in good overall health for this procedure, and Dr. Diktaban can determine whether FaceTite is the best option for you versus a more invasive surgical lift procedure. FaceTite offers the benefits of less downtime than a surgical procedure, but it may not be able to achieve your cosmetic goals if your signs of aging are more extensive.

What Happens During FaceTite?

FaceTite can be performed under local anesthesia at our certified, in-house facility. Once you’re comfortable, a micro-incision is made at each treatment area so that the specialized handpiece can be placed under the deep layers of the skin. This handpiece begins to emit radiofrequency energy to cause skin contraction and fat removal. An external sensor ensures that the area doesn’t become too hot. The incisions from this procedure are so small that they do not require any suturing. You are then placed in an elastic strap which holds the skin in place and helps decrease swelling. Overall, this process can take from 40-60 minutes.

Results and Recovery

It’s common to experience some minor swelling and bruising after FaceTite, but this begins to subside within a few days. You should expect to take a few days away from work to rest and recover, during which you can manage any discomfort with over-the-counter medications. Dr. Diktaban will provide some detailed recovery instructions for you to follow, including avoiding strenuous exercise and cosmetics. Your results will begin to emerge over the course of a couple weeks, with continued improvement over a few months as swelling continues to subside and collagen production increases. Most patients require only a single treatment, although continued maintenance with physician-grade skincare and professional treatments is key to getting the most out of your results.

Cocktail Anesthesia

Cocktail anesthesia is Dr. Diktaban’s preferred tool for ensuring your procedure is relaxing and low-risk. Dr. Diktaban has used cocktail anesthesia for surgical procedures for over 10 years with resounding success. Patients are safe and comfortable during the entire procedure. It is predictable and consistent for men and women of all ages. There are no IVs or any tubes down your nose or throat. Patients describe the experience as “floating comfortably”. Patients are even allowed and instructed to have a light breakfast before coming to the office for their procedure. The cocktail anesthesia entails the ingestion of a few pills followed by two medicine injections into the arm. One big advantage with cocktail anesthesia is that during body contouring procedures, the patients are able to turn their body into different positions that enables Dr. Diktaban to sculpt their bodies in an enhanced manner. The following list of procedures can be performed under cocktail anesthesia: browlifts, facelifts, eyelid lifts, necklifts, liposuction, BBLs (buttock enlargement), fat transfer to the breasts, breast lifts, FaceTite, AccuTite, and BodyTite.  Learn more about how cocktail anesthesia can transform your surgical experience during your consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for my FaceTite treatment?

Although FaceTite is less invasive than a facelift or other surgery, it’s important to take the right steps for your procedure. This includes stopping smoking and drinking, avoiding blood-thinning medications, and even ceasing the use of certain active skincare ingredients. Dr. Diktaban will provide detailed pre-treatment instructions to follow at your consultation.

How long does FaceTite last?

FaceTite does not stop the process of aging, but it can address some of the beginning signs. With the right maintenance steps, some patients see their FaceTite results last as much as five years.

Does FaceTite hurt?

FaceTite can be performed with local anesthesia, so you will likely feel only some pressure during treatment. Patients rarely experience some discomfort during their recovery, but this is usually manageable with over-the-counter medications.
