What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau is a neuromodulator treatment that uses botulinumtoxin Type A to block nerve impulses in the muscles of the face. Although Botox and Dysport® use the same methods, Jeuveau (sometimes known as #NEWTOX) is an updated injectable for a new generation. It comes with the benefits of stricter and more effective manufacturing processes, lower cost (due to FDA-approval for solely cosmetic use), and the same excellent results as Botox. This means Jeuveau can effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles caused by facial movements and also prevent further creasing from forming over time.

Jeuveau is a great option for patients looking to reduce the appearance of furrows and creases in areas like the brow or around the eyes. During your consultation with Dr. Diktaban, you’ll discuss your medical history and goals for injectable treatments to determine whether Jeuveau is the best option for you. In some cases, Dr. Diktaban may recommend a surgical procedure if your signs of aging are beyond what Jeuveau can achieve. Jeuveau can be effectively paired with dermal filler treatments for all-around rejuvenation.
What Happens During Jeuveau Treatment?
Jeuveau can be administered right at our state-of-the-art Manhattan office. Since each patient has different levels of tolerance, we can supply a topical anesthetic. Once you’re comfortable, the product is made ready and carefully injected into the individual muscles causing dynamic wrinkles. This might require multiple injections for full treatment. Overall, this process can take less than fifteen minutes, after which you can return home.
Results and Recovery
You can expect some minor redness and swelling in the treatment area for around one day after each injection session. Additionally, any bruising will subside within one or two weeks. It can take up to a week for your full results to emerge, and Jeuveau can last for between three and six months. Once your results begin to fade, you can return for re-treatment.
